Earlier this year, Agape Community Church purchased St. Mary's Church in Pewaukee, which is currently undergoing an extensive restoration.

Neighborhood members spent months making an attempt to save lots of the historic St. Mary’s Church within the village of Pewaukee.

For a time, it appeared {that a} senior residing neighborhood would take over the property. Then, when these plans fell by, a residential growth was deliberate for the location. A counter provide by the village preserved the church and adjoining parking zone.

Now the church is protected, and Agape Neighborhood Church is embarking on a venture to revive the constructing, which was constructed in 1858.

Agape, a nondenominational church, occupied St. Mary’s for a number of years earlier than its lease ended on the finish of August 2019. For a time, Agape held companies at Pewaukee Excessive Faculty earlier than transferring to Waukesha.
