SEQUIM — A sheepdog in sheep’s clothes? That appears to work for Don and Susan Sorensen’s canine Thor, who has been a weekly customer to Sherwood Assisted Residing.

Thor, of the Maremma sheepdog breed, makes his rounds at Sherwood for about 90 minutes, saying howdy and getting some consideration on the facility off West Hendrickson Street.

Susan Sorensen mentioned she began the custom within the late Nineteen Nineties whereas she lived in western New York state.

“Being a skilled nurse, I (thought I) may make somebody’s life higher,” she mentioned final month.

Thor is the third canine she’s accompanied to senior dwelling services.

Sorensen, often known as Sassy Susan throughout her common broadcasts on KSQM 91.5 FM, has taken to calling Thor’s visits “Thor”apy on “Thors”days.

“He thinks everyone seems to be a part of his flock,” she mentioned.
