FARMINGDALE – Florence G. Newell of Farmingdale, handed away Nov. 4, 2021, in Augusta, following a number of years of failing well being. She was born in Corinth on Jan. 25, 1928, to the late Pierre Edmond (Edward) Brideau and Bertha M. (Bickmore) Brideau. She grew up in numerous locations all through Maine following her dad who labored as a woodsman. Whereas dwelling in Gardiner she met and married Frank Alfred Newell Sr. who had simply returned from serving within the Navy throughout WWII. She is survived by her daughters Madeliene Huntington of Augusta, Dorothy Morang of Farmingdale, Mary Hickenbottom and her husband Paul of Granbury, Texas, Susan Letteney of Rockland, Rita Newell of Lewiston, Irene Paulmann of Yarmouth, Cheryl Higley and her husband Hugh of El Cerrito, Calif., Frank Newell Jr. of Farmingdale, and George Newell of Augusta; grandchildren Richard Hurd Jr. (lately deceased), Sheila Wickett of Florida; Jonathan Morang and spouse Amy and their youngsters Sophia and Tyler of New Hampshire; Beth Hilton of Maine; Stephen McKeen and spouse Amanda and their youngsters Kaydence and Adeline of Texas; Alicia Letteney and son Jonah; James Letteney and son Dylan; Karen Letteney; and Justin Letteney and Kristen Wagner and their youngsters Orrin and Juniper all of Maine; Jeremy Paulmann and daughter Zoie of Massachusetts; Sarai Briggs and husband Andrew and sons Porter, Hudson and Warren of Maine; Greg Paulmann of New York, Mia Paulmann of Maine, and Lauren, Ryan and Sean Higley of California; stepchildren George Newell and his spouse Debbie of Florida, Gary Newell and his spouse Valerie, Judy Veroneau and husband Mitch, each of New Hampshire, and stepson John’s widow, Barbara of Massachusetts and their youngsters and grandchildren; she can be survived by sisters Phyllis Currier of Sangerville, Marion Jewett of Augusta; and quite a few nieces and nephews. As a result of Covid and different circumstances, there will likely be no visiting hours. A memorial service and celebration of her life on the Winter Avenue Baptist Church in Gardiner and the committal service on the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, will each be held at a later date when all of her youngsters are in a position to be right here. She will likely be buried beside her husband, Frank A. Newell Sr. within the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta. Her household want to thank all the employees at Woodlands Senior Dwelling Heart in Hallowell, and most lately the Augusta Heart for Well being and Rehabilitation and Constellations Hospice for the great care that Mother obtained throughout her stays over the previous couple of years.
