The previous director of a Gainesville senior residing facility has been convicted of kid abuse and sentenced to time-served in jail and 5 years’ probation.

Jeffery Cronkrite, 59, of Ocala, pleaded no contest to the cost in a plea settlement. He was initially charged with sexual battery of a kid below 12.

Cronkrite was director of Windsor of Gainesville senior residing facility on the time of his arrest in 2019.

Initially Cronkrite was charged with automotive housebreaking in September 2019 by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Workplace. That cost was later dropped below a pre-trial intervention settlement.

In October 2019, Cronkrite was arrested on a Marion County cost of sexual battery on a toddler.

Cronkrite on Monday pleaded no contest to baby abuse in an settlement with the Fifth Circuit State Lawyer’s Workplace.
