TRUMAN — Duane Heckman, age 84, of Truman, Minn., handed away Wednesday Could 4, 2022, at Truman Senior Dwelling. Visitation will probably be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Could 9, 2022, at Zaharia Household Funeral Dwelling. There will probably be a personal household memorial service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman with Rev. Penny Ritter officiating. Burial will probably be in Westford Cemetery, rural Truman.
Duane Henry Heckman was born April 24, 1938, to Henry Bernard and Florence Could (Burk) Heckman. He attended faculty by way of the eighth grade in Lewisville after which attended Truman Excessive Faculty. On Jan. 22, 1956, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Rosalie Kay Grant, at Neighborhood Baptist Church in Truman. Collectively they have been blessed with 5 boys. Duane spent most of his working life as an over the highway truck driver and proprietor/operator, driving from coast to coast. In his later years he drove for Bosshart Co., then later Cemstone. When not on the highway, he loved taking part in playing cards, going to espresso on Tuesdays, taking drives in his golf cart and serving to out on the Boesch farm within the fall. He was a longtime member of the Lions Membership and was additionally on the board at Westford Cemetery. Left to cherish his reminiscence is his beloved spouse, Rosalie; his sons, Mark of Truman, Brian of Truman, Roger of Blue Earth, and Michael (Paula) of Truman; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Shirley) of Los Angeles; 5 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in loss of life by his dad and mom; parents-in-law; his son, Steven; and sister-in-law, Beverly Reutzel.
